Together, they founded One Step Ahead to support SMEs with both practical training and hands‑on business solutions — helping organisations build capability without the cost or complexity of big‑business consulting. Director

Amanda brings over two decades of experience in corporate communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. She has led high-profile campaigns, managed complex change initiatives, and delivered results for global organisations. Her strength lies in translating big-picture strategy into practical, actionable steps for SMEs. Amanda’s ability to simplify complexity and communicate with clarity ensures businesses feel confident and supported.

Dominique Brown

Director

Dominique is an accomplished leader in HR, with over 20 years’ experience across manufacturing, government, and not-for-profit sectors. She has partnered with leaders during periods of growth to strengthen compliance, refine HR policies, and improve culture and engagement. Skilled in end-to-end recruitment, workforce planning, WHS, employee relations, and training delivery. Known for a pragmatic, empathetic, solutions-focused approach and ability to balance strategic HR input with day-to-day operational support.
